For PTAs and schools
A fundraiser that respects everyone’s time
Whether you’re the PTA officer running it or the principal signing off on it, here’s what ShowRaiser means for you.
For PTA and PTO officers
- One organizer can set it up in one sitting.
- Automatic reminders do the chasing for you.
- A live dashboard shows where you stand at any moment.
- A closing report gives you the numbers for your next meeting.
For principals and office managers
- No cash or checks come through the front office.
- No student photos or full names appear on public pages.
- Challenges that encourage reading, kindness or exercise.
- A show that can run after school, so it needn’t take up the school day.
Common questions
How much of the money does our school keep?
Your school’s share depends on how much you raise. Send us your details and we’ll give you the exact numbers, with no fine print.
Who is ShowRaiser for?
Elementary schools. Everything from the challenges to the show is designed for that age group.
When can we run a fundraiser?
Your organizer picks the start date, and the fundraiser closes automatically two weeks later. We recommend booking your show within a month of the end date.
What does our PTA need to get started?
A volunteer to act as organizer, your family email list, and your PTA’s EIN and bank account details. If your group doesn’t have an EIN, we’ll walk you through getting one free from the IRS.
How do donations work?
Everything is online by card, with a $10 minimum. We don’t accept cash or checks. Donors get an email receipt straight away in your PTA’s name, with its EIN, for their tax records.
What appears publicly about students?
Only a first name and last initial, with a grade or teacher and the amount raised. Student pages have no photos, and last names are never shown publicly.
What about a student whose family can’t donate?
Your organizer can give a Golden Ticket by hand to any student. And if your school’s rules call for it, you can open the show to every student.
Does everyone have to come to the show in the evening?
No, that’s your school’s choice. We recommend an evening show after school for students with a Golden Ticket, but you decide the format and the date with your performer.
Can donors see who gave what?
A family’s page lists donors and the amounts they gave. Each donor can edit the name that appears or choose to be listed as Anonymous.
