A ShowRaiser fundraiser has three parts: a short setup, a two-week challenge, and a magic show. Here’s how it all comes together.

Your PTA picks the challenge that suits your school. Each one runs for two weeks and ends with the same celebration magic show.

The Magic of Reading

Read every day for two weeks.

A natural fit for any elementary school, and an easy one for friends and family to get behind. Giving feels like supporting a good habit as well as a good school.

The Magic of Kindness

One random act of kindness every day for two weeks.

Students go looking for small ways to help at home, at school and in their neighborhood. It works well for a school that’s focused on character and community.

The Magic of Healthy Choices

Exercise every day for two weeks.

Students get moving every day, and families can easily join in. It’s a good choice for a school that wants to encourage healthy habits.

Before: your organizer sets things up

  1. Create your school’s page

    Pick a challenge and write a short message from your school. It appears on your school’s page and on every family’s page.

  2. Set your goal

    We suggest starting at $5,000. When your school reaches its goal, the goal moves up automatically, so the momentum keeps going.

  3. Pick your start date

    The fundraiser closes automatically two weeks later.

  4. Connect your PTA’s bank account

    Payments run through Stripe. It takes about 10 minutes and needs your PTA’s EIN. If your group doesn’t have one yet, we’ll show you how to get one free from the IRS.

  5. Book your show

    We’ll show you the performers in your area. You choose a date with them and add it to your page. We recommend a date within a month of the fundraiser’s end.

  6. Invite your families

    Upload your family email list and we’ll send the invitations. Families can register and share their page as soon as yours is live.

During: two weeks of challenge and giving

Each challenge starts with its own kickoff video, and students take home a printed tracker to follow their progress. The tracker is on the honor system, so nobody at school has to check it. Families share their page or QR code with friends and relatives, who donate online in a couple of minutes.

For families

One registration covers all their children. Each family gets a page with a progress bar, a list of donors, and automatic reminders by email and text.

For your organizer

A live dashboard shows the total raised, how many students have registered, the top 10, and which families still need a nudge. Resending an invitation takes one click.

After: the money and the magic

  • Donations close at the end of day 14, and your closing report shows your total, your school’s share, and when the money will arrive.
  • Your school gets paid a few days after close, once the cards have cleared, directly to your PTA’s bank account.
  • You print the Golden Tickets with one click. Any student with at least one donation gets one, and your organizer can add a ticket by hand for any other student.
  • The show goes on, and donors get a thank-you with your school’s final total.
